Aspen Line
This Aspen grove, outside of Telluride, was nestled among a large forest of spruce pine and tucked away on a hill. I only noticed it as I drove by because we had had a brief rain that swept in long enough to settle the dust and brighten the bark on the trees and a ray of forest sunlight afterward. Yet, the trees were so striking to look at, and I ran up the hill to grab a few shots of these towering beauties lined up in a row and showing off. It was one of the most pristine Aspen groves I'd ever come across.
East Coast and West Coast, I've lost track of the road miles I have traveled. I've seen 49 states and 36 National Parks, but I've yet to photograph them all the way I'd like to. I love the in-between, the bits and pieces lost by highways or airlines, and so, my passion for Travel Photography is more about the journey instead of the destination, as they say. Makes me not want to skip over any of those places by being on a plane.
Photography and travel is a gift I give myself and share with others. I'm committed to the shot and the pure enjoyment of getting it.

Aspen trees are one of the most recognizable fall symbols in the Rocky Mountains. So, I try never to miss an autumn photography trip for a week or two around Colorado to capture their change from deep summer green to golden and sometimes reddish hues. This Aspen grove, outside of Telluride, was nestled among a large forest of spruce pine and tucked away on a hill.
