Almost 20 years ago a huge steel factory in Bavaria/Germany was closed and thousands of workers lost their jobs. They were victims of globalization. Since than the owners try to dismantling the huge area close to City of Sulzbach-Rosenberg. But this may be a task for generations. The nature started to take back the former industrial site with a lot of lost and forgotten places.This was a target of two days of shooting for the exhibition "Vergessene Welten" (Forgotten Worlds) that will be shown in autumn of 2021 in Regensburg/Germany.

Born 1958 in Germany I started taking pictures as a child. After qualification as a newspaper editor I studied Political Science and Communications and gratuated with a Master and a Ph.D. Radio reporter for Bayerischer Rundfunk in Germany, internship at Cable News Network (CNN) in New York. Senior newspaper editor and reporter since over 30 years. Founder of a successful internet website for equestrian sports. Ten years ago returning to analoge photography, shooting black&white up to 4x5 inch. Photographs are printed in own darkroom or digitalized in high solution with Hasselblad Flextight scanner.
