"3:2"
This photo was made in Warder, the Netherlands along the shores of the Ijsselmeer. I was scouting for new locations to complete one of my older series when I stumbled upon this scene. The sheer simplicity of the scene and the tranquility it had, made me stop in my tracks.
The sheer emptiness and the five poles symbolized the past few months for me.
I hope to create moments of quiet and wonder with my photography in a very busy and hectic world. Characteristic for my work is the tranquility of it. By searching for this tranquil composition I try to find my own peace of mind.

about the photographer
I am a photographer based in the Netherlands. My interest is in fine art photography with a focus on landscape photography, although I love to experiment with other forms as well, i.e still life and architecture. The photographs I make are minimalistic in form and are either made with soft pastel tones or in black and white.I hope to create moments of quiet and wonder with my photography in a very busy and hectic world. Characteristic for my work is the tranquility of it. By searching for this tranquil composition I try to find my own peace of mind.
