entry description
With the onset of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, two cats that were meant to be neutered found love as cities around them went into lockdown - the result, a litter of five. And so goes the origin story of my current favourite companion. One who loves playing a game of predator and prey. She hides amongst freshly folded laundry, behind furniture and underneath blankets, waiting patiently to catch me off guard. I took this moment with my iPhone, the moment we locked eyes and right before she pounced upon me.about the photographer
After graduating university, and a brief stint as a copywriter, Adeela began working solely as a photographer represented by the photo agency 18% grey. She also assisted in establishing the first post graduate photography program in Pakistan that has been running successfully since 2010. She went on to set up her own studio a few years later, relocated to England and works primarily in the genres of fashion, lifestyle and portraiture. She has been published across various magazines, award winning books and taken part in multiple exhibitions. When she’s not writing about herself in third person, Adeela likes to read, play indie video games and piano, and interrupt her cat’s personal space with her camera. She enjoys cooking Pakistani food and can make a delicious chicken karhai (relative to whether you can handle your spice). She currently lives by the sea. Well, about an 8 min walk away, according to google maps.back to gallery
