Other people's lives

entry description
I took this picture in Oslob, Philippines around 5am. I woke up early and saw this amazing light, this dark and cloudy sky but flat and peaceful ocean. A woman was walking in the water alone, looking for some shellfish, surrounded by her wave. A feeling of loneliness and power that makes you realize other people's lives are far away from your own life in another country. Since this day, when I'm feeling stressed for work or overwhelmed by our "industrialized country problems", I take a look at this picture and I think about this woman, thousand miles apart, starting her day looking for shellfish with her own problems, in front of the ocean.about the photographer
French photographer based in the North-East of France (Vosges), I've always been inspired by nature, landscape, food and architecture. After my two years of photography studies, I travelled a year and a half alone in Australia to discover a new culture and photograph incredible landscapes. On my way back, I went to the Philippines and since then, I've travelled to Sri Lanka, Portugal, Açores capturing the world through my lens: architecture in Portugal, tea plantations in the Açores & Sri Lanka, nature, colors & shape, food and culture. My photographs are a way to eternally set what my memory will forget at some stage.back to gallery
