Metamorphosis
Were these parts, these resources, previously means of transportation – cars, airplanes or trains? Were they utility items such as washing machines, cameras, chairs or hospital beds? Were they art?
The series represents an intermediate state of these resources and their open-ended transformative process: At first glance a chaotic bundle of resources, at second glance an aesthetic serial process, an arrangement of structured chaos, a sculptural figure.
In times of resource scarcity, the ever-growing and deeper depletion of our planet, these places, where such valuable resources are collected, categorized and managed, are the treasuries of the future.

entry description
The series Metamorphosis deals with the cycle of things, metal as a material and the use of resources. Resources from which we create things, design things and from which we live. Resources that are becoming scarce, that are finite. Were these parts, these resources, previously means of transportation – cars, airplanes or trains? Were they utility items such as washing machines, cameras, chairs or hospital beds? Were they art?
