Sculpted Time
At other times, I wait for them to wither, dry out, rotten so that I can sculpt them in time and form. The understanding of the temporal cycle which flows, drains. An inventory of parts of plants and life itself. Transplanted and molded, the creatures take their new identity.
Who are these beings who travel from nature to my imagination; awaken memories otherwise numbed by time? Visions. Amorphous monsters, elegant dancers, mortal scraps of something which existed only for a few flashes. Created figures, shaped, sculpted in an unique and temporary physiology. Wandering bodies transpire. It’s the bare dry communing with sweet fresh that lead to the investigation of the contours and colors under different angles of light convergence and of the making that transfigures.
Parts of several species come together in search of harmony. The world is small and deceives the human eye. From the three-dimensional of the botanical sculptures to the flatness of the photography. As a regret which builds itself over time, the beings take on their own forms.
The production process could just evidence the signs, but points to a state of attention and resignification of what is deteriorating. A rescue, deconstruction of the perfect. The degradation reveals a new existence to the journey, not the destination.
From 1999 to 2017, worked and undertook in digital communication companies.
She has focused on photography since 2018. With three projects ongoing, is oriented by Daniel Salum, photographer and professor.

entry description
As daily walks become part of a creative routine, the eyes start to see organic and botanical forms across the biomes made possible when the urban trajectory defines the harvesting. The path becomes more important than the arrival. An imagined scientism appears as part of the investigation and lends it to the storage of roots, leaves, flowers, small twigs, and other pieces in boxes, all sorted by size, texture and color. Objects taken from nature to outside of their habitat. I live with the forms while they’re still fresh. At other times, I wait for them to wither, dry out, rotten so that I can sculpt them in time and form. The understanding of the temporal cycle which flows, drains. An inventory of parts of plants and life itself. Transplanted and molded, the creatures take their new identity.
