Formentor Lights
It has a very peculiar road that leads to it and that offers a lot of compositional possibilities for photographers.
I had already seen many photographs of this place with the road illuminated by a car, but I had never seen a photograph of that place where the milky way and the illuminated road could be seen, so I set myself the challenge of achieving it.
I planned well at what time the milky way would be in the sky and I agreed with my friend Miguel Angel to go to the place, since we would have to do teamwork because we needed a driver to complete the road lights.
This is a panoramic photograph composed of 6 photos in which the driver had to go through the same place in each shot so that later we would not have a problem in joining the panoramic.
The photograph was taken with a Sony A7 3 and a Sigma 14-24 f.2.8, and shot at 14mm, f.3.2 and Iso 6400 just before the blue hour began.
It was not easy to get the photo we were looking for but thanks to the effort and teamwork in the end we were happy with the result obtained.
Photography had always caught my attention, and it was in 2006 when I bought my first compact camera, with very basic features. My first intention was more than anything to store memories of both trips and special moments.
Little by little and without realizing it, this passion for photography awoke in me, and in a self-taught way I trained as a photographer. I invested in my photographic equipment and continued researching, doing tests, looking for tutorials on the internet...always with the intention of learning and evolving. That is something that I am still doing today, I think that you can always improve if you put your mind to it.
My specialty is landscape photography, especially night photography, light painting and long exposure. It is the one that I am most passionate about, it relaxes me, and it adapts more to my lifestyle. I love the nature and I love to capture the beauty of the nature with my camera.
Since 2016 I have been conducting night photography workshops and have participated as a speaker in night photography conferences such as the first Foto Alcañiz night photography congress.
I have been competing all my life, previously as a professional tennis player and it is something that I have always liked, since I think that even if you don't win, you can always learn and you can always continue to improve.
I apply the same in the world of photography, I love participating in contests and I love trying to improve myself every day, and if I am lucky enough to get a prize even

about the photographer
My name is Marc Marco, I am from Mallorca and I'm 41 years old. Father of a family and former professional tennis player. Currently I combine my profession as a tennis teacher with that of a photographer.Photography had always caught my attention, and it was in 2006 when I bought my first compact camera, with very basic features. My first intention was more than anything to store memories of both trips and special moments.
