THE MAP OF YOUR FACE
( la prisonniere – Marcel Proust )
**
Faces are like maps. Discovering the unique features of a face is also like a voyage. Diving into the depths of an eye, walking in between wrinkles of the passing years, or losing yourself in the curve of a smiling lip… If you know how to read this map that is drawn by secrets, sorrows, happiness, fears, and loves; it will tell you many stories.
The series of “ The Map of your Face” consists of 5 portraits of my niece taken in 2020 and 2021 which were strange years for all of us. The portraits show her melancholic mood under quarantine conditions. This series is also a humble attempt for me to voyage within her map with “a hundred different eyes”.
In 2021, he was awarded with “ Juror’s Pick” prize on Lensculture Street Photography Awards-2021 and his “ Portraits of a Young Lady” series won the first place in International Photography Awards ( IPA)
