Water Haiku
Photography plays a main role in my life: I don’t look for beauty but shadows and lights are a mean to shape my own reality. Taking pictures is an inner journey, my way to deal with my deepest emotions. Much of my work focuses on the language of nature in all its expressions, on my relationship with landscape and the natural world and in my images, I aim to render what I feel while shooting, rather than what I witness. The outer space gives voice to my 'inner gaze'.

entry description
Nature always creates visual connections following a rhythm and showing patterns of temporary forms: I like to capture the simple beauty of these ephemeral moments which are often overlooked. "Water Haiku" is part of my project exploring the visual language of nature in its state of flux. These photos were taken in one of the places I like most in the Dolomites, the Lake of Federa : the scenery of the Croda da Lago reflecting in its waters and the flora populating this high-altitude expanse of water have always fascinated me but I was particularly touched by the constant change produced by the light on the lake and on the plants surface. Water interacting with rocks or plants, creating abstractions and distortions that mirror the tumultuous life above and below the surface and transforming itself into a flow of energies.about the photographer
