Strength of a Woman
As a photographer, part of my creative process is relentlessly researching unusual locations and creating an eccentric environment/or possible storyline for my subjects to “step into”. I find if I then “let go of control” within this METICULOUSLY planned environment, my model naturally adapts to however THEY interpret their surroundings. Oftentimes my music seem to create their own character, & these results always feel unexpected & spectacular! On this day, It seemed we created a story of a “gentle beast loved by a fearless woman”. My model (Brooke Bishop) went barefoot (this to me showcased vulnerable trust), and looked so strong in her poses. Our hair artist created modern swirling shapes to match the abstract earrings & our make up artist artfully swirled eyeliner which mirrored the shape of a Igor’s horns. Our model was draped in vintage Roberto Cavalli & bespoke jewelry by Lady Daze Fine Jewelry.
Liz consistently creates an eccentric “storytelling atmosphere” for her subjects, enabling them to “step into & transform into a specific character”. Over the past years, Liz has been photographing the runways & backstage at Los Angeles Fashion Week.

entry description
This styled shoot showcases one of the ONLY tame and docile steers in the world. "Igor the African Steer" whose temperament ("genetically speaking") should be one of the most aggresive steers in the world, is instead that of a lap dog! He spends his days at "Bradt's Menagerie" lounging lazily & giving kids pony rides. Since Igor was very young, his owners noticed oddly friendly "Labrador-like" behavior traits, and they encouraged Igor’s “outside of the normal" temperament by offering Igor so much love and affection. Bradt's Menagerie in Northwest Oklahoma takes in neglected animals & those who are born with malformations/birth defects. They offer all their animals a safe place to be loved, to roam free & interact with guests. As a photographer, part of my creative process is relentlessly researching unusual locations and creating an eccentric environment/or possible storyline for my subjects to “step into”.
