Can you give life again when life is no more? On the wave of this question, in front of a fishmonger's counter, this series of photographs was born. For each species opens a fantastic scene built with creativity and irony: the sardines hung with clothespins proudly display their livery, the octopus curls into curlers, a mullet makes bubbles of its own colors, the crab conquers a ball that does not give up, the cuttlefish enjoy painting with their black.about the photographer
Maria Cristina Anelli was born in Milan in 1970. She builds her aesthetic feeling and her professional identity by collaborating as Marketing & Communication Manager with leading Italian and Multinational Companies in the sector of durable goods, luxury and sommellerie. In 2017 she obtained the Global Master in Professional Photography at the John Kaverdash Academy. In 2020 she opens her PH45 Photographic Studio in Pavia, where she lives. She loves to express her creativity through personal projects and is enrolled in the Fine Art Photo Academy. She has several solo and collective photographic exhibitions to her credit as part of Photofestival Milano circuit. In 2022 she received mentions at international photographic awards and is selected to partecipate in her first international collective exhibition in the USA. She specializes in Portrait, Still life and Interior Photography and performs Photo Retouching and Photographic Restoration.back to gallery
