A school of Munk’s devil rays (Mobula Munkiana). Every year between April and July, large schools numbered in the tens of thousands aggregate in the coastal waters of Baja California Sur, Mexico, where they feed on plankton-rich waters and to find mates. These rays grow up to one meter wide and are recognized by their chocolate-brown colored backs and white bellies.back to gallery
