Symbiosis
This photo perfectly captures this densely populated reef situated around an extremely small island no bigger than our boat. The symbiotic relationship between the Clownfish and sea anemone is shown here as the Clownfish use the anemone as their home to protect them from the countless predators surrounding them at all times. The Clownfish also protect their little home, the sea anemone, by fearlessly scaring off anything that gets too close.
The ocean is a vast, and often harsh environment for any organism to survive. Symbiotic relationships can be seen all around the oceans in every corner of the earth. These organisms must learn how to work together to mutually benefit each other in order to not only survive, but thrive in one of the harshest ecosystems in the world.

entry description
I had the amazing opportunity to go scuba diving at some of the healthiest reefs in the entire world, at the Komodo Islands in Indonesia. This dive site was by far the most diverse and healthiest reef I have ever been scuba diving at. Thousands and thousands of fish schooling all around me, vibrant corals, sharks and eagle rays all around. There were so many things I could take photos of on this one dive, but there was not enough time to.This photo perfectly captures this densely populated reef situated around an extremely small island no bigger than our boat.
