entry description
This project draws its inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of "Wabi-Sabi" (侘寂), which honours the notion of seeing the beauty in flaws, especially in natural settings, as well as their intrinsic sincerity. Flowers are a good way to show impermanence because they have a fleeting beauty that fades with time. Flowers can induce feelings of serenity and tranquilly as well as a wave of fragility because to their associations with various notions, such as new birth, death, purity, and love. Each photograph is handcrafted, captured using Cyanotype in accordance with the wabi-sabi philosophy, demonstrating that imperfections are desirable.back to gallery
