While We Sleep
Sefton Bivouac is one of the many climbs that one can do, with it providing a more adventurous alternative to the very accessible Mueller Hut route. Unfortunately, due to the increasing popularity of this climb via social media, it's become very hard to go up here and have the bivouac truly to yourself. This was the case on this particular trip, with 20 or so people at the top here- the bivouac itself holds 4 people at max capacity.
However, given how hard it is to get a clear weather window in this mountainous region of New Zealand, I relished the opportunity to shoot, leaving the trip with this image. There's something special about being able to experience the New Zealand hut system at night, as the huts often sit in some of the most picturesque parts of New Zealand.
