Metaphysical stillness
Architect Aldo Rossi and Gianni Braghieri designed the modern part of the cemetery in 1971, in a rationalist-metaphysical style, with essential and clean lines.
The complex has been inaugurated in 1987 and it is not completed yet.
In the center of the courtyard there is a tall, cubic-shaped building, which represents the "city of the dead" as opposed to the "city of the living".
I am a software developer and photography has always been my passion together with travel and reading. If I had to describe my way of shooting I would say that it is instinctive and that my equipment is mainly the eyes. In my shots I try to have fun with the natural geometries that urban modernity offers me: symmetries, shapes, colors and subjects on several levels, almost always with a human presence describing its size. In short, cement is my playground.
Several of my shots have been on sale for a few years on the Getty Images portal and have been purchased and used in various publications.
Currently some of my works are for sale in limited editions at the art gallery:
