title
On the edge of water's blues
The level of the lake's water is significantly lowering, as part of the drought that hit North Italy in the last years.
In the winter of 2023, the level of the water was 60 cm lower than the seasonal average. 222 MCM of water missing.
The situation is clearly visible throughout the lake where beaches and rock slabs have re-emerged, many ports are unusable and subject to dredging, and docks belong more to dry land than water.
This situation not only affects the environment but also has economic and cultural implications. Garda Lake is a crucial source for the Pianura Padana region, which produces most of the "Made in Italy" goods. The potential consequences are significant, with long-term impacts extending to the whole of Italy.
He attended the Foto Image photography school from 2015 to 2018.
In 2017 he presented his first two exhibitions at the “Corte di Felsina” in Bologna, Italy and two photos were chosen by the editorial staff of “National Geographic” as part of the annual competition.
Since 2019 he has participated in the "H20 Planet" project by "7milamiglialontano", a non-profit association in Brescia, Italy.
In 2021 he concludes his first personal documentary work, "Down on the short road near the Causeway".
