Limits
"Limits" is a series that artfully alludes to the intricacies of emotional boundaries. Through a thought-provoking exercise in self-analysis, the collection of self-portraits utilizes a captivating mirror effect, which aims to make the viewers confront their own reflections. Within these evocative images, protective lines materialize, showing where we end and where others begin.
Every piece within this series showcases powerful "borderlines," where a solitary character emerges, serving as a poignant representation of self-concept, intimacy, and the significance of personal limits.
It serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of self-esteem, identity, and personal space. It urges us to contemplate the immense value of our individuality and the power that lies within us to navigate our own boundaries. Through this series, we are compelled to confront our emotional thresholds and realize that, ultimately, we are the sole architects of our own perceptions and growth.
The self-portrait has been his specialty, he found a way to recreate different people in one.
Although she had been drawing since the age of 12, it was not until she was 15 years old that she discovered her inclination for visual art, which led her to study and graduate in the specialty of digital art at the well-known San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts.
His first works outside and inside the Academy were video creation, achieving with one of them his first exhibition at the Center for the Development of Visual Arts (Havana, Cuba).
and later his first collective prize given by the ISDI University of Design in Cuba.
Migrating to the US was undoubtedly the great step to discover their true interest in the conceptual self-portrait, this being a method of self-knowledge and experimentation, an escape from reality to another world through which to express oneself freely.
His work is characterized by telling stories both personal and foreign, inspired many times in painting.
Some of his photographs have been exhibited in international fairs such as (FIHAV) (International Fair of Havana) promoting brands of national companies in the country, winning prizes and mentions on several occasions.
