entry description
In 2019, I spent 6 days and 5 nights in North Korea, traveling around Pyongyang, Nampo, and Kaesong. The Potemkin aspect of the country was overwhelming, with desolate streets shrouded in hazy pollution, to an entire lack of anything modern. Despite the conflict North Korea outwardly displays to the rest of the world, the locals I encountered were kind, caring humans, seemingly aware of the faults of their state, and eager for interaction and insight from outsiders.about the photographer
