entry description
Hindu devotees dance as they take part in a festival called Lal Kach (Red Glass) during the last day of the Bangla month in Munshiganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh on Thursday, April 13, 2023. The Lal Kach festival has been well-known in the local community for over a hundred years. The Hindu youth and men paint themselves with color and attend a procession holding swords as they show power against evil and welcome the Bengali New Year 1430.about the photographer
Since my childhood, I fell in love with the creative process. This motivates me towards photography and documenting lives around my circumstances. My main passion lies in capturing human condition in unique, challenging situations. My range of subjects is fairly broad, but whether I am photographing daily life, child labor or homeless people my common aim is always the same - to capture the human element. I freelance since 2006 and shoot documentary photo stories. Much of my travel/documentary photography is represented by local Medias, while my personal projects, portraits etc are in the private collections for photo lovers and collectors worldwide. Steve MacCurry, James Nachtwey, GMB Akash and many more others are sources of my inspiration, which deeply inspire me to alleviate me in my work. I want to create my own type which will reveal elements of human and thus I want to awaken humanity and compassion.back to gallery
