Still life
Golden Age:
The idea of this artistic work is inspired by the heyday of the 1920s and revels in the culture and spirit when people longed for ideal social conditions, the dawn of a new era.
Garden run wild:
All about dreariness and nostalgia, the beauty of the wasteland and transience is evident in this work that harkens back to the 40s, a time of austerity and hardship.
Golightly:
The decadence, the luxury (adorned with borrowed plumes), the (extra) loud laughter - behind all this the longing - have faded away in the hungover light of the past party night of a "Holly Golightly" á la "Breakfast at Tiffany's".
I completed my professional training as a photographer in 1998 in Freiburg. This was followed by assistantships with Berlin photographers. Since 2003 I work as a freelance photographer in Berlin.

entry description
In reference to different eras, a world of its own is created by means of interior, styling and props, which leaves space for interpretation. The works tell stories of nostagia and unfulfilled longings, but also of confidence. Despite the reference to past eras, the works have a reference to topics of the present and current spirit of the time. Who "lived" there in the place, in what condition, with what wishes and desires, goals or intentions.Golden Age:

about the photographer
The first, deliberate and conscious, but still naive photo I took, according to my memory, of my sister in 1988. I dressed her up as a model with a black (today you would say) oversized coat and combed her hair neatly. She posed for me in the garage at our house in front of an old wall. I had a pink plastic Beirette SL 100N analog camera at the time. Color film was too expensive, so I photographed in black and white. Over 30 years later, I have internalized my sense of what I see and then capture. All the experiences, experiments, ups and downs now merge into a very natural, artistic work.I completed my professional training as a photographer in 1998 in Freiburg.
