Panoramic United States Abstracted
Furthermore, I find that the physical act of arranging the mirrors, creating patterns and repetition with both whole mirrors and broken pieces gives a sense of resolution and completeness to the panoramas. Implementing the mirrors is a mixture of personal self-reflection and a desire to design the perfect array that complements the landscape; as well as an attempt to build a dense visual within landscapes to inspire people to travel and see natural landscapes. At the same time, I intended the mirrors to be up for interpretation from person to person.
Panoramic United States Abstracted was born from two previous experimentations being combined in the spring of 2020 in local states to me, and in 2021 and 2022 I took cross-country road trips to continue this project. I envisioned the end goal of this project to be a published book once I have visited several places within every state; currently, I have reached 18 states and have 52 panoramas so far.

entry description
In this selection of a larger series I am working on, I have been traveling alone and creating large panoramic formats of landscapes while altering the scene in front of me with a variety of mirrors. The purpose is to build a collection of places while showcasing experiences and moments in time to inspire people to travel, steering away from stereotypical landscape panoramas to catch the eye of viewers and demand more attention than a simple glance.Furthermore, I find that the physical act of arranging the mirrors, creating patterns and repetition with both whole mirrors and broken pieces gives a sense of resolution and completeness to the panoramas.
