Dogs bring simple warmth & light to my life, portrayed here through my pastel studio floor. Predicting their position in 1-3 seconds proved nearly impossible, yet my knowledge and patience held fast. The outcome is peculiar & surreal, a bit like me—it is a collection of photographs I am truly proud of.

Shapes of Canis familiaris captures the movement of dogs within a single frame, with no compositing or second exposures used. In camera, using multiple seconds at a time, the essence of dogs' movements were recorded from breed traits to trained behaviours, herding to recall. I also sought to convey my own mental states in the series of frames—pressure, racing thoughts, joy, indecisiveness, resilience and frustration.Dogs bring simple warmth & light to my life, portrayed here through my pastel studio floor.
