The landscape of Poland is full of religious figures, crosses, statues, or small buildings that resembles a little house or miniature chapel located along the roadsides. These shrines were often founded by individuals, families, communities of entire villages as intention to thank a saint or God for a benefit or blessing received and sometimes as a remembrance for a tragedy or a crime.
