entry description
Mariano, witness of a slowly disappearing world. His voice and his face tell us of a hard life: "We used to fish from very small boats and the danger we faced at the mercy of the open sea was immense. Fortunately we always returned home save. We didn’t have modern equipments at our disposal, all our work depended on our strength and our experience. Just our eyes to understand weather mutations, to identify the best fishing areas, our teeth to cut the fishing line .. Our hands ... I remember my efforts when I learned how to make the first knots.. but then everything went on well…"A picture telling us about a whole existence, his face marked by time, by fatigue. The grateful look of a man conscious of having survived countless dangers.
