Today there's only 7% left of the original Atlantic Rainforest. The deforestation is one of the main causes for less rain in the southeast region of Brazil. This image was taken during a trip to Minas Gerais. There was lots of clouds passing by and I waited a while when suddenly a sun ray lit the tree. I decided to make a black and white photo to give a contrast and more drama to the image.about the photographer
Born in São Paulo, in 1978, self-taught photographer. Ale graduated in mechanical engineering in 2000. In 2006 he won an analog camera from his father and took a photography course, while traveling the world photographing and since 2012 he has been working professionally with photography, with works in the areas of landscape photography, architecture and still, having made several publications in magazines, currently lives and works in São Paulo - SP.When he’s not doing his commercial photography work, you can find him likely shooting the sea with his long exposure techniques where he is able to include the time element into his images.
