Urban Symmetry
I am fascinated by the urban mood and evening lights. But landscapes with strange mood also seize me by the eye and thoughts. I am looking for geometry and symmetry obsessively in each composition. When I take a photo, I exclude all other circumstances and focus only on the picture to be prepared. I collect moments.

entry description
Urban Symmetry presents buildings on the banks of the River Danube (Budapest, Hungary), which are emphasized out of their surroundings and put into soundproof, homogeneous space cleaned off the whole exterior information. However, the series cannot be considered as a dry study, because it does not depict the raw reality: if you get a closer view of the photographs, you may discover that none of the pictures show the building in its full form, but only its reflected part. After all, these fictitious buildings coming into existence perfectly grab and condense their original character into themselves, as if you could see human faces and different personalities on the building portraits.about the photographer
I am Zsolt Hlinka, I was born in 1978, Budapest. After finishing my studies, I got a job in a printing house. Later I received an opportunity to become a co-owner of a newly established press, of which I became the press leader. Beside this, taking photographs has always been a part of my life. I was given the possibility by my parents and thereby the passion for taking photos soon grew inside me. This is the path of my life, I can express myself by this.I am fascinated by the urban mood and evening lights. But landscapes with strange mood also seize me by the eye and thoughts. I am looking for geometry and symmetry obsessively in each composition. When I take a photo, I exclude all other circumstances and focus only on the picture to be prepared. I collect moments.
