After the season
I´ve waited for the right weather to bring this series alive. The weather supposed to be as sad as the seaside of most of this hotels look like, after the season. Then I started a tour along the Adria seaside to search for the most abandonded places to find. I captured it as a straight architecture-caption, orthogonally to the facade. It was not raining but the sky was grey or even white. That supported the loneliness of those places.
As an assistant teacher at the "Fotoakademie Graz" I try to help young talents to finds their way to their own photography. The students are allowed to help as photoassistants on several photoproductions for hotels and other brands.

The series is about the tristesse of seaside-hotels at the Italian Adria, closing their doors in fall, capturing fallen leaves in their pools and just giving you a kind of sad feeling, when you look at them.I´ve waited for the right weather to bring this series alive. about the photographer
I started working as a photographer in the late 80ies. After learning a lot of skills in a photostudio in Graz, I started as a self-empoyed photographer in 1995. Since then I´m mostly working as an architectural-, hotel- and imagephotographer. From the beginning of my career I had a strong relation to fineart- and landscapephotography. After winning a few international awards, I created my own brand "Fotoreiserei" for phototravels and workshops, where I teach interested photographers seeing and creating new visions. As an assistant teacher at the "Fotoakademie Graz" I try to help young talents to finds their way to their own photography. The students are allowed to help as photoassistants on several photoproductions for hotels and other brands.
